“Also I don’t think I’m going to town much anymore because, to many people are getting to know me, and I don’t really like that because you know what people are like they talk, even though I don’t do anything indecent for them to talk about, I don’t know I just don’t have a good feeling about town. Maybe I’m receiving a warning, that there is something to beware of, you know those gut feelings you get and people say you should stick to those feelings, because they are normally correct”.!!!!!
Tuesday 20th April 1993
“I think I am starting to fall in love, we went to the movies, we watched this movie where this man just kept on reliving the same day over and over again and he eventually fell in love with this girl. “Wouldn’t it be good if we could live a fairy tale where we could live happily ever after. Yes that was Tuesday for me nothing else counts except I played netball today and we won! It’s just Him and my netball that counts! And so to my dear diary this is a day of remembrance it’s the day I really started feeling something special and it dawned on me that I LOVE HIM Goodnight sweet dreams.
Sunday 26th April 1993
” I’m not quite sure what the future holds for me though, all I know at the moment is I want a good secure job, and I probably won’t get married for at least five to six years”.
Thursday 6th May 1993
“My boyfriend wanted to read my diary but I said maybe a bit later on, so we looked at my school photos instead, he reckons he recognised me through my smile I remember my friends told me that I have a nice smile and nice body shape I just need to lose a little weight! Yes I thought I would just add that in, then we started talking about what we would do if we had all the money in the world, basically we would party on and holiday our lives away all over the world, and have a house in every country. I let him read my diary tonight he laughed a little at times.
6th June 1993
This is Shirree’s last entry she died this night – “I haven’t written in my diary since May I haven’t been going out as much and the weather is getting colder, things with my boyfriend are going well and we are seeing more of each other, I have been involved in a car accident and now my car is a right-off great! I have a sore neck and have to stop my netball for a while; my mum has been popping around a bit lately too which is nice!
